Yoga Practice: Building Upper Body and Core Strength
In this full-length yoga class you and I are going to move through some movements to really increase your upper body and core strength.
In our everyday lives, we perform so many common activities such as pushing, pulling and lifting, to be able to perform these activities, we must build our upper body and core strength.
This practice focuses on strengthening the arms, chest, upper back, and core. However, you need to have some yoga experience to take this practice so this is not ideal for beginners.
There are 5 positive effects of this practice:
(1) It can improve your posture.
(2) It can improve your energy levels
(3) It will improve your metabolism.
(4) It’s incredibly rewarding and will increase your endorphins
(feel good chemicals)
(5) Everyday tasks become easier.
In yoga, we tend to use our own body weight. In resemblance to lifting weights, it’s also a good way of exercising, however, you will notice I give you the option in this class to also use weights. Yoga is one of the best ways to build upper body strength without bulking up.
